About Course

An 18-hour foundational science course for physicians, nurses, advanced practice clinicians, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. Explore endocannabinoid receptors, signaling, metabolism, organ-system biology and the appraisal of cannabinoid research.

Course structure

Eight modules combine 30 core lessons with diagrams, mechanism exercises, clinical reasoning vignettes, glossaries, study guides, knowledge checks and required readings. Complete a research-appraisal assessment and a 40-question final examination.

Prerequisite

Basic knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. No prior cannabinoid education is required.

Assessment and certificate

The research appraisal and final examination are assessed by faculty. The curriculum proposes an 80% passing standard for each, subject to faculty validation. Lesson completion alone does not award the certificate. Your instructor provides the assessment submission route and confirms the applicable standard before assessment.

Educational scope

This certificate documents educational completion. It does not confer professional licensure, prescribing authority, CME/CE credit or a separate professional certification designation. The course does not provide treatment protocols or patient-specific recommendations.

Access

Enrollment is by college approval. Approved learners receive an invitation and access the course through the Student Portal.
